The Great Gatsby "Top Best Of the Web Award"
Winners of the Annual West-Egg Award
Award For Best Blog:
The Great Gatsby Blog wins the best blog award because it's one of the best blog online. I've been looking online for blogs that would help students study or explain the novel best and this blog seemed to be it. Although the blog gives only symbols and motifs of the novel it goes to great details. It was also difficult to find blogs because most were reviews of the story.

This art work illustrating Gatsby's 1920's party, with illustrations of dancers and entertainer. This art shows the extravagant parties of Gatsby with the elegant clothing and mansion. This piece of art wins this award for the color choices are phenomenon and the design in the work is marvelous.
Award For Best Cartoon:
This cartoon wins best cartoon because I thought it was hilarious. This cartoon pokes fun of the part where Nick does indeed ask Daisy to have some tea, but so Gatsby can meet with her. If everyone was honest about their intentions how would life be?
Award For Best Game:
Winner: http://greatgatsbygame.com/
A great way to simply kill time. Have fun with this game because the first time I played, I was addicted.
Award For Best Video:
Winner: SparkNotes's The Great Gatsby Summary Video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6Iu29TNfkM
This video wins the award because it is a great video source for students studying and refreshing their memory on the novel. It gives the whole summary of the book so in case you don't understand or forgot part of the novel this can quickly refresh your memory, or if you are one of those students who would rather not read the novel and just read the summary( I wouldn't recommend, great novel), great source for you to.

Award For Best Review:
Winner: Bridget from Illiterarty.com Review Here
This review wins the award because she is completely honest about it. She critiques some of the stuff students would. Although she was a little harsh about the novel she had good points. Great resource to see what other people think about the novel.

Award For Worst Of The Web:
Winner: http://beckysblogs.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/the-great-gatsby-by-f-scott-fitzgerald-review-25/
This cover wins the "Worst of Web" because I just don't understand the point of the cover. If the lady image is suppose to represent one of the female character, who is it? Whats up with the color of the cover to? I just don't understand the cover.

Welcome IB Students and The Great Gatsby Readers and Lovers!
Hello, there fellow IB students or just The Great Gatsby readers and lovers. I have made this blog not just for class but to show how much I love this novel. The Great Gatsby is my favorite novel read in my high school career. Sure you high school kids may think its boring, and long, and not as short as the play A Street Car Named Desire, but there are so many elements that makes this novel amazing. Lots of imagery, symbols, etc. Leaving you with the question what is the American Dream?
